Students begin to explore the geography, customs, and traditions of Spain and Spanish-speaking countries in South America.
SPANISH I (GRADES 7 or 8)

Prerequisites: Students must successfully meet the following criteria for enrollment in the Spanish I course; B or higher in English.
The students acquire skills in comprehending, reading, writing and speaking Spanish. Vocabulary and grammar are taught through the use of drills. Students begin to explore the geography, customs, and traditions of Spain and Hispanic America.
SPANISH II (GRADE 8)

Prerequisite: Successful completion of Spanish I.
The second-year Spanish student becomes knowledgeable of several verb tenses, idiomatic expressions, and grammatical skills in language. This course enables the student to read, write, and speak and comprehend Spanish on a more advanced level. The study of culture of Spanish-speaking countries in South America continues.
